3 Nuggets of Wisdom to Help You Fight Your Battles

This week I’ve been battling a problem that I know I cannot solve on my own. Not an ailment or financial woes — just this longing to be nearer to those I love.

I tell myself, think logically. Be patient. Have faith.

Nugget of Wisdom #1: Hard days don’t last forever

There are days when I am very happy, then suddenly I start crying. The tears come in unexpected moments, like the end of a lesson at church or at a clothing store while running errands in town. Thankfully, I get over it quickly enough and carry on.

I am learning though that we can find joy in even the most difficult of situations. Distractions help but even better is that knowledge that things will get better. They usually do.

I’ve felt this assurance countless times.

Nugget of Wisdom #2: What matters is not our circumstance but how we choose to respond

What’s even more important is remembering that we can’t control every aspect of our lives. It is okay to let go sometimes and just be at ease.

Know that the challenge you now face can make you stronger, if you let it. Recently, I wrote this inspired thought in my journal:

When adversity comes it is a sign that Heavenly Father trusts me enough to give me opportunities to grow.

Imagine that! Wouldn’t life be much more fulfilling if we had this perspective? What miracles we’d call down from heaven! What blessings we’d feel in our lives!

Nugget of Wisdom #3: Learning is good for the soul

I’ve been making the most of my time while separated from loved ones, and I’m amazed at what I’m accomplishing through the strength of the Lord.

For instance, in addition to my full-time mom duties and content strategy/ writing projects, I recently started learning how to code.

A few hours ago, I built my first webpage using HTML tags. Experiences like this keep me motivated to be a lifelong learner.

I am grateful for these opportunities to improve my talents and eager to see where life takes me. Grateful that I can plant the seeds of greatness day by day.

Whatever challenges you are facing this month, keep going, keep trying. Remember that developing patience and an attitude of gratitude can help you through it.
